In de nacht van Donderdag 21 september worden worden op een veld bij Berkel vier agenten van het BBO in uniform (!) gedropt. Dit zijn Maarten Cieremans (BEN, operatie CUBBING) organisator, Wim Hoogewerff (WIM, operatie COURSING) organisator, Gerard de Stoppelaar (LUDO, operatie MONOPOLY) organisator en Paul Polak (DOUWE, operatie BOATING) WT-Operator. Paul vervangt de geblesseerde Rein Bangma. Agent Bert de Goede (RUMMY) heeft eigenlijk geen werk voor Polak en Cieremans. Cieremans had moeten voorkomen dat de Duitsers de haveninstallaties in Rotterdam zouden vernietigen, hetgeen een dag voor zijn dropping gebeurd was. FRANK (van Bijnen) stelt voor dat beiden naar Apeldoorn gaan om daar de hoofdpost van het landelijke interne radionetwerk op te zetten.
During the night of September 12th four operatives are parachuted on a field near the village of Berkel in the province South-Holland. The men are wearing uniforms London probably thinks the war will soon be over. These four men are: agent/organiser maarten Ciermans, aka Ben, mission Cubbing. Agent/organiser Wim Hoogewerff aka Wim, mission Coursing. Agent/organiser Gerard de Stoppelaar, aka Ludo, mission Monopoly. Agent/WT operator Paul Polak, aka Paul Peters, mission Boating. Paul Polak was replacing Rein Bangma who got injured during parachute training in England. Agent/organiser Bert de Goede, aka Rummy, who is working in Rotterdam doesn't have a job for Cieremans and Polak. Cieremans was to prevent the demolition of the docks in Rotterdam. However the day before they were dropped the Germans destroyed them. Arnold van Bijnen, aka Frank suggest both to travel to Apeldoorn to set up the main radio post for the underground Dutch radio network.
Vrijdag 22 september, Paul Polak meldt een veilige landing van alle vier agenten. Londen feliciteerd hen daarmee en vraagt of de Driehoek van Rotterdam meer droppings velden wil opzetten ten noorden van de stad.

Zaterdag 23 september, Londen wil graag het contactadres van Paul in Rotterdam weten en voor wie hij werkt en wat de situatie in de stad is.
In bericht nummer 2 laat Paul weten dat hij 's nachts het bericht van Londen ontvangen heeft.
Paul klaagt bij Londen over het seinschrift van een operator van het Homestation, dat was blijkbaar zeer slecht. Hij geeft aan dat de situatie qua verzet in Rotterdam zeer verward is. De landelijke leider van de K.P. (Arnold van Bijnen) wil hem en Cieremans de volgende dag al naar Apeldoorn sturen. Het zendwerk van Paul wordt overgenomen door THEODOOR (Arie van Duyn). In feite neemt hij alleen berichtgeving van Hoogwerff en De Stoppelaar over. Hij verzorgt reeds de berichtgeving van De Goede en Mulholland. Zeer waarschijnlijk zijn er meer lokale operators actief want Van Duyn kan nooit alleen het berichtenverkeer van vier agenten aan. Eén van de lokale operators was COR WEST (Cor Bijsterveld).

He tells London (3) that the situation in Rotterdam is confusing and the commander of the KP is sending him and Cieremans to Apeldoorn to establish a country wide radio network. Maarten Cieremans must also instruct resistance men how to use their weapons. Paul also informs London that there are enough WT operators in Rotterdam. His job is taken over by Arie van Duyn, aka Theodore. Paul will however run his skeds as usual and he wants London to react that night. Last night the Homestation was run by a very bad operator.
It is impossible that Arie van Duyn is taking care of all messages of four agent/organisers, Bert de Goede, Luke Muholland, Wim Hoogewerff and Gerard de Stoppelaar. So there must be more local WT operators who are in touch with London. One of them was Cor Bijsterveld, aka Cor West.
Zondag 24 september, Londen (3) wil ook contact met Paul aanhouden en men vindt dat de leiding maar lokale operators op moet leiden voor het landelijke interne netwerk. Wel vindt men dat 1 operator geen twee skeds kan runnen en Paul moet maar handelen naar de omstandigheden, wat Maarten Cieremans ook al ingeprent werd.
Paul (4) geeft aan dat er in Rotterdam geen driehoek van de drie grote verzetsbewegingen is. Ook geeft hij zijn contactadres door, maar dat is helemaal verminkt. Als hij eenmaal in het oosten zit moeten zijn opdrachten via Doorn lopen. Hij heeft wel dagelijks draadloos contact met de LSC (van Bijnen).
Bert de Goede (LEO) heeft dringend duizend Stens nodig, hij heeft direct contact met de grondploeg van veld ... (WHISKEY?). Paul (5) adviseert Londen om de volgende agenten die gedropt zullen worden een complete set papieren mee te geven en hen in burgerkleding te parachuteren.

London informs Paul that they need to stay in touch with him even when he is working in Apeldoorn for an internal resistance radio network. His organiser, Maarten Cieremans, should be able to recruit local WT operators who are able to handel internal radio traffic. London also thinks that Theodor (Arie van Duyn) should work with two different radio plans, it is too much work and he would be in air too long. Like Ciermans, Paul is told to act according to circumstances, but London prefers to stay in touch with him. Paul has to inform London what he will do.

Paul informs London (4) that that is is not such thing as a Triangel in Rotterdam. Active resistance is carried out just by the KP and the RVV. The coordination between the two organisations is good. Agent Bert de Goede knows the overall sabotage commander of the KP, Frank in Rotterdam. Paul indicates that he is working for Frank just as Theodore (Arie van Duyn) and Karel (Gerrit Reisiger). Pauls' address is DOKGELS BS (mutilated). Paul asks London to send his orders for his mission in the eastern part of the country directly to Doorn (village in Utrecht). Paul also informs London that he is in contact daily with LSC Frank (Arnold van Bijnen) by radio.

Paul lets London know (5) that Bert de Goede in in charge of the reception committee LSSUOK ODAM (mutilated=Rotterdam?) He needs at least 1000 Stenguns as soon as possible. Paul tells London that the next agents to be dropped must wear civilian clothes and take the right kind of papers with them. SOE was never able to produce good Dutch identity cards.

Paul asks London (7) if it is necessary to have a radio link between the eastern part of the country and London. London must send instructions for his work over there. The rest of the telegram is not clear due to mutilation.
Dinsdag 26 september, Paul (6) meldt dat BEN (Cieremans) die dag naar Apeldoorn zal vertrekken. Verder geeft hij nadere uitleg over zijn werkzaamheden in Apeldoorn. Deze plaats moet het centrum van een intern radio netwerk worden. Het net bestaat uit zendamateurs met zelf gebouwde sets die opereren vanuit Deventer en Assen. Paul zal ook dagelijks contact met Londen maken. Paul's vertrek naar Apeldoorn is uitgesteld.
Indien Londen wil (7) dat hij in Rotterdam blijft moeten zij hem een duidelijke taak omschrijving sturen, waarbij hij Bert de Goede (LEO) niet in de weg zit.
FRANK vraagt via Paul (8) of Londen de notulen van de Top Driehoek vergadering, gehouden in Amsterdam, wil hebben.
Paul geeft in het laatste bericht van die dag aan dat hij op dat moment nog steeds voor FRANK werkt in het hoofdkwartier van de KP en dat hij niet naar Apeldoorn gaat.
Londen geeft in zijn antwoord (5) nu ook aan dat Paul in Rotterdam moet blijven en voor de LSC moet blijven werken. Hij moet ook met LEO in contact blijven want die beschikt maar over een operator. Verder wil Londen het rapport van de vergadering in Amsterdam graag hebben. Berichten uit het oosten van Nederland moet via Paul naar Londen gestuurd worden.
In telegram negen geeft Paul (9) aan wat de OD van plan is tijdens de zogenaamde overgangs fase direct na de bevrijding. Men is al bezig om Burgemeesters en politiemensen voor die periode te benoemen. Paul weet niet of Londen wel achter deze beslissingen staat. Londen moet N-Section vragen wat hun standpunt is en waarom er niet meer wapens gedropt kunnen worden.
Wat betekend IMI in de telegrammen van Paul, deze afkorting was ook te zien in de telegrammen van GROUSE in Noorwegen. Zou het 'vraagteken' kunnen zijn?

Paul tells London (6) that person he calls Bert in his telegrams is known by London as Leo. Apeldoorn is a necessary central radio post for the eastern part of the country. Ben (Maarten Cieremans) leaves for Apeldoorn todat, but Paul's travel has been delayed.

Paul informs London (9) what the OD organisation is like, they want to fill the vacuum after the Germans have left Holland and they are already appointing burgomasters and policemen to act during that period in cooperation with the civil authorities. Prince Bernhard informs the resistance that the so called Triangel is meant to be the top brass of the resistance forces. Local or regional commander is appointed only when all resistance organisations agree. If they don't agree the Top Triangel will appoint a commander, who must be experienced in active resistance. Local or regional (sub) Triangels are allowed. The prince points out to his speech over Radio Orange and previous messages.

First message from the resistance in Rotterdam via Paul (1). Rotterdam needs many more weapons, no rifles, but Stenguns. In order to arm their troops in time they need the RAF to drop 30 containers a night. Reception committee is ready and standing by. Rotterdam also gives a new dropping field. For this they use a Cloniferis atlas. (No idea what that is) They use page 37 and they give coordinates. The code sentence is 'Alle eendjes zwemmen in het water' This is a Dutch children song. Don't know what STOS and CONSI are.

Donderdag 28 september. London laat Paul weten dat Henri Koot in Amsterdam een WT operator en een wapeninstructeur nodig heeft in Alkmaar. Kan Frank (Arnold van Bijnen) er voor zorgen dat hij een contact adres in Amsterdam krijgt? Als dat niet lukt zal Londen daar voor zorgen. De minister van Binnenlandse Zaken laat via Londen weten dat de OD niet bevoegd is om Burgemeesters aan te stellen, ook niet tijdens het macht vacuum na de overgave van de Duitse troepen in Nederland.

Paul is informed by London that the overall commander X (Col. Henri Koot) in Amsterdam has asked for an operator and instructor in Alkmaar. London needs to know if Frank (Arnold van Bijnen) is able to get a contact address for Paul in Alkmaar through the people in Amsterdam. If he can't do so London will give Paul an address. Paul must inform London about the result of their question to Frank. The minister of internal affairs (home secretary) informs Paul that the OD organisation is not permitted to appoint burgomasters not even during the vacuum period when the Germans are gone.
Vrijdag 29 september, Paul laat in telegram nr. 10 weten dat Bert de Goede hem niet in Rotterdam nodig heeft, hij vraagt Londen wat hij dan wel moet doen. Verder geeft hij aan de er een TOP Driehoek gevormd is en dat alle leiders uit Rotterdam daarover vergaderen in Amsterdam. De vernietigingen in de haven van Rotterdam gaan intussen gewoon door. Hij zal weldra antoord geven op de vragen van Londen over veld LUCIFER. Als laatste geeft hij aan dat DIRK (Sjeerp Postma) zich in Rotterdam bevindt.
In het volgende telegram (11) geeft hij aan dat de reis naar Alkmaar niet makkelijk is. Ook zal hij meer informatie verstrekken over de rol van de OD tijdens de overgangsfase direct na de bevrijding.

Telegram from Prince Bernhard via Paul for the OD organisation. The Prince thinks there is a misunderstanding within the OD to become active at this stage. The Prince demands that that the OD will fight alongside the KP and the RVV. He has nothing to do with gossip concerning the OD organisation, but the OD will not automatically be in charge of the resistance organisations. The OD has to form shock troops. These troops were already very successful in Limburg.

In a second telegram (9) London informs Paul that the leadership of the OD organisation must be strongly informed that his organisation has no authority what so ever to appoint commanders of the police or the marechaussee. They are also not allowed to fire- or to appoint political leaders.

In de nacht van Donderdag 21 september worden worden op een veld bij Berkel vier agenten van het BBO in uniform (!) gedropt. Dit zijn Maarten Cieremans (BEN, operatie CUBBING) organisator, Wim Hoogewerff (WIM, operatie COURSING) organisator, Gerard de Stoppelaar (LUDO, operatie MONOPOLY) organisator en Paul Polak (DOUWE, operatie BOATING) WT-Operator. Paul vervangt de geblesseerde Rein Bangma. Agent Bert de Goede (RUMMY) heeft eigenlijk geen werk voor Polak en Cieremans. Cieremans had moeten voorkomen dat de Duitsers de haveninstallaties in Rotterdam zouden vernietigen, hetgeen een dag voor zijn dropping gebeurd was. FRANK (van Bijnen) stelt voor dat beiden naar Apeldoorn gaan om daar de hoofdpost van het landelijke interne radionetwerk op te zetten.
During the night of September 12th four operatives are parachuted on a field near the village of Berkel in the province South-Holland. The men are wearing uniforms London probably thinks the war will soon be over. These four men are: agent/organiser maarten Ciermans, aka Ben, mission Cubbing. Agent/organiser Wim Hoogewerff aka Wim, mission Coursing. Agent/organiser Gerard de Stoppelaar, aka Ludo, mission Monopoly. Agent/WT operator Paul Polak, aka Paul Peters, mission Boating. Paul Polak was replacing Rein Bangma who got injured during parachute training in England. Agent/organiser Bert de Goede, aka Rummy, who is working in Rotterdam doesn't have a job for Cieremans and Polak. Cieremans was to prevent the demolition of the docks in Rotterdam. However the day before they were dropped the Germans destroyed them. Arnold van Bijnen, aka Frank suggest both to travel to Apeldoorn to set up the main radio post for the underground Dutch radio network.

Zaterdag 23 september, Londen wil graag het contactadres van Paul in Rotterdam weten en voor wie hij werkt en wat de situatie in de stad is.
In bericht nummer 2 laat Paul weten dat hij 's nachts het bericht van Londen ontvangen heeft.
Paul klaagt bij Londen over het seinschrift van een operator van het Homestation, dat was blijkbaar zeer slecht. Hij geeft aan dat de situatie qua verzet in Rotterdam zeer verward is. De landelijke leider van de K.P. (Arnold van Bijnen) wil hem en Cieremans de volgende dag al naar Apeldoorn sturen. Het zendwerk van Paul wordt overgenomen door THEODOOR (Arie van Duyn). In feite neemt hij alleen berichtgeving van Hoogwerff en De Stoppelaar over. Hij verzorgt reeds de berichtgeving van De Goede en Mulholland. Zeer waarschijnlijk zijn er meer lokale operators actief want Van Duyn kan nooit alleen het berichtenverkeer van vier agenten aan. Eén van de lokale operators was COR WEST (Cor Bijsterveld).

He tells London (3) that the situation in Rotterdam is confusing and the commander of the KP is sending him and Cieremans to Apeldoorn to establish a country wide radio network. Maarten Cieremans must also instruct resistance men how to use their weapons. Paul also informs London that there are enough WT operators in Rotterdam. His job is taken over by Arie van Duyn, aka Theodore. Paul will however run his skeds as usual and he wants London to react that night. Last night the Homestation was run by a very bad operator.
It is impossible that Arie van Duyn is taking care of all messages of four agent/organisers, Bert de Goede, Luke Muholland, Wim Hoogewerff and Gerard de Stoppelaar. So there must be more local WT operators who are in touch with London. One of them was Cor Bijsterveld, aka Cor West.
Zondag 24 september, Londen (3) wil ook contact met Paul aanhouden en men vindt dat de leiding maar lokale operators op moet leiden voor het landelijke interne netwerk. Wel vindt men dat 1 operator geen twee skeds kan runnen en Paul moet maar handelen naar de omstandigheden, wat Maarten Cieremans ook al ingeprent werd.
Paul (4) geeft aan dat er in Rotterdam geen driehoek van de drie grote verzetsbewegingen is. Ook geeft hij zijn contactadres door, maar dat is helemaal verminkt. Als hij eenmaal in het oosten zit moeten zijn opdrachten via Doorn lopen. Hij heeft wel dagelijks draadloos contact met de LSC (van Bijnen).
Bert de Goede (LEO) heeft dringend duizend Stens nodig, hij heeft direct contact met de grondploeg van veld ... (WHISKEY?). Paul (5) adviseert Londen om de volgende agenten die gedropt zullen worden een complete set papieren mee te geven en hen in burgerkleding te parachuteren.

London informs Paul that they need to stay in touch with him even when he is working in Apeldoorn for an internal resistance radio network. Like Ciermans, Paul is told to act according to circumstances, but London prefers to stay in touch with him. Paul has to inform London what he will do.

Paul informs London (4) that that is is not such thing as a Triangel in Rotterdam. Active resistance is carried out just by the KP and the RVV. The coordination between the two organisations is good. Agent Bert de Goede knows the overall sabotage commander of the KP, Frank in Rotterdam. Paul indicates that he is working for Frank just as Theodore (Arie van Duyn) and Karel (Gerrit Reisiger). Paul asks London (7) if it is necessary to have a radio link between the eastern part of the country and London. London must send instructions for his work over there. The rest of the telegram is not clear due to mutilation.
Dinsdag 26 september, Paul (6) meldt dat BEN (Cieremans) die dag naar Apeldoorn zal vertrekken. Verder geeft hij nadere uitleg over zijn werkzaamheden in Apeldoorn. Deze plaats moet het centrum van een intern radio netwerk worden. Het net bestaat uit zendamateurs met zelf gebouwde sets die opereren vanuit Deventer en Assen. Paul zal ook dagelijks contact met Londen maken. Paul's vertrek naar Apeldoorn is uitgesteld.
Indien Londen wil (7) dat hij in Rotterdam blijft moeten zij hem een duidelijke taak omschrijving sturen, waarbij hij Bert de Goede (LEO) niet in de weg zit.
FRANK vraagt via Paul (8) of Londen de notulen van de Top Driehoek vergadering, gehouden in Amsterdam, wil hebben.
Paul geeft in het laatste bericht van die dag aan dat hij op dat moment nog steeds voor FRANK werkt in het hoofdkwartier van de KP en dat hij niet naar Apeldoorn gaat.
Londen geeft in zijn antwoord (5) nu ook aan dat Paul in Rotterdam moet blijven en voor de LSC moet blijven werken. Hij moet ook met LEO in contact blijven want die beschikt maar over een operator. Verder wil Londen het rapport van de vergadering in Amsterdam graag hebben. Berichten uit het oosten van Nederland moet via Paul naar Londen gestuurd worden.
In telegram negen geeft Paul (9) aan wat de OD van plan is tijdens de zogenaamde overgangs fase direct na de bevrijding. Men is al bezig om Burgemeesters en politiemensen voor die periode te benoemen. Paul weet niet of Londen wel achter deze beslissingen staat. Londen moet N-Section vragen wat hun standpunt is en waarom er niet meer wapens gedropt kunnen worden.
Wat betekend IMI in de telegrammen van Paul, deze afkorting was ook te zien in de telegrammen van GROUSE in Noorwegen. Zou het 'vraagteken' kunnen zijn?

Paul informs London (9) what the OD organisation is like, they want to fill the vacuum after the Germans have left Holland and they are already appointing burgomasters and policemen to act during that period in cooperation with the civil authorities. Kan Frank (Arnold van Bijnen) er voor zorgen dat hij een contact adres in Amsterdam krijgt? Als dat niet lukt zal Londen daar voor zorgen. De minister van Binnenlandse Zaken laat via Londen weten dat de OD niet bevoegd is om Burgemeesters aan te stellen, ook niet tijdens het macht vacuum na de overgave van de Duitse troepen in Nederland.

Paul is informed by London that the overall commander X (Col. Henri Koot) in Amsterdam has asked for an operator and instructor in Alkmaar. London needs to know if Frank (Arnold van Bijnen) is able to get a contact address for Paul in Alkmaar through the people in Amsterdam. If he can't do so London will give Paul an address. Paul must inform London about the result of their question to Frank. The minister of internal affairs (home secretary) informs Paul that the OD organisation is not permitted to appoint burgomasters not even during the vacuum period when the Germans are gone.
Vrijdag 29 september, Paul laat in telegram nr. 10 weten dat Bert de Goede hem niet in Rotterdam nodig heeft, hij vraagt Londen wat hij dan wel moet doen. Verder geeft hij aan de er een TOP Driehoek gevormd is en dat alle leiders uit Rotterdam daarover vergaderen in Amsterdam. De vernietigingen in de haven van Rotterdam gaan intussen gewoon door. Hij zal weldra antoord geven op de vragen van Londen over veld LUCIFER. Als laatste geeft hij aan dat DIRK (Sjeerp Postma) zich in Rotterdam bevindt.
In het volgende telegram (11) geeft hij aan dat de reis naar Alkmaar niet makkelijk is. Ook zal hij meer informatie verstrekken over de rol van de OD tijdens de overgangsfase direct na de bevrijding.

Paul informs London (10) that Leo (Bert de Goede) has no work for him in Rotterdam and he asks London what to do. The Triangel in Amsterdam contains two members of each resistance organisation and they appointed an overall commander (Henri Koot) who is also in Amsterdam. The destruction of the harbour in Rotterdam by the Germans continues. Paul will answer London's questions about dropping field Lucifer. He also informs London that Dirk (Sjeerp Postma) is in Rotterdam.

Paul informs London (11) that the journey to Alkmaar will be very difficult (dangerous). He will answer the question about the contact address in Amsterdam tomorrow. Maybe London will receive this answer may by via an other radio link (Arie van Duyn). Rotterdam needs more information about the role of the Orde Dienst during the transition after the Germans have surrendered
Zaterdag 30 september, Paul ontvangt twee telegrammen van Prins Bernhard over de plannen van de OD om pas actief te worden gedurende de overgangsperiode wanneer de Duitsers het land verlaten hebben en de Nederlandse regering nog niet op orde is. Jhr. Pieter Jacob Six krijgt hiermee een aardige draai om zijn oren.

Telegram from Prince Bernhard via Paul for the OD organisation. The Prince thinks there is a misunderstanding within the OD to become active at this stage. The Prince demands that that the OD will fight alongside the KP and the RVV. He has nothing to do with gossip concerning the OD organisation, but the OD will not automatically be in charge of the resistance organisations. The OD has to form shock troops. These troops were already very successful in Limburg.

In a second telegram (9) London informs Paul that the leadership of the OD organisation must be strongly informed that his organisation has no authority what so ever to appoint commanders of the police or the marechaussee. They are also not allowed to fire- or to appoint political leaders.
