Communique contribution for 5th April.
North of NIJMEGEN our troops have reached the line of the NEDER-RIJN on a broad front. In the ZEVENAAR area NE of EMMERICH, our troops have made further progress to the Northwest. North of the TWENTE CANAL, HENGELO has been cleared of the enemy and gains have been made to the North and West. Further to the North, armoured columns advancing Northeast from NORDHORN have reached the line of the EMS River at several points. In the area Southeast of RHEINE, our troops have crossed the DORTMUND-EMS Canal. Northeast of OSNABRUCK our troops have crossed the EMS-WESER Canal and are advancing beyond it. OSNABRUCK has been entered but is not yet clear, while other columns bypassing the town to the South have reached a point 7 miles East of it.

Communique contribution for 5th April.

Communique contribution for 11th April, 1945.
Allied troops have occupied DEVENTER after overcoming strong enemy opposition. Further East good progress has been made and RIJSSEN and NIJVERDAL have been captured. East of the River EMS our forces have advanced against moderate enemy resistance to capture SOGEL and HASELUNE. More crossings of the WESER have been made at HOXA (HOJA) and NIENBURG and our troops have advanced several miles to the East against light opposition. Advances of 10 miles have been made beyond NEUSTADT to the North and East.

Allied troops have launched an attack Westward areas the IJSSEL. We have made good progress beyond FUERSTENBERG crossing the HASE Canal and capturing BAD BERGEN, ANKUM and BERSENBRUECK. North of OSNABRUECK we have occupied BRANSCHE and VORDEN against light resistance. Southwest of BREMEN our troops are in WILDESHAUSEN and HARPSTEDT but further East we are meeting strong opposition from the enemy. Communique ends.

Allied troops have made a second crossing of the IJSSEL and are fighting in ARNHEM. We have expanded our bridgehead South of DEVENTER and have captured TEUGE. Between the IJSSEL and EMS we have continued to make good progress and have captured DALFSEN and ASSEN. Further West we have reached FRIESOYTHE and CLOPPENBURG and have occupied VECHTA. Against determined enemy resistance we have expanded our bridgeheads over the ALLER in the RETHEM area and to the South we have made another crossing at CELLE from which our troops have advanced 10 miles and have captured ESCHEDE and ELDINGEN.

Allied troops have made a second crossing of the IJSSEL and are fighting in ARNHEM. We have expanded our bridgehead South of DEVENTER and have captured TEUGE. Communique contribution for 15th April, 1945.
Allied troops are clearing the last pockets of enemy resistance in ARNHEM and further North, we have reached the outskirts of APELDOORN.
Good advances have been made between the IJSSEL and EMS Rivers and our columns have reached the outskirts of ZWOLLE, GRONINGEN and WINSCHOTEN. To the east FRIESOYTHE and CLOPPENBURG have been cleared of the enemy.
Several counter attacks were launched against our bridgehead over the ALLER near RETHEM, but these were all repulsed.
Our troops have now advanced 30 miles beyond OFLINE and UELZEN
