Reference your request of 1-2-1945 herwith HAARLEM Identity Card No. 080935 of 29-12-1941.
In the name of VAN DER SCHANS. The tax has been indicated with a 50 cent wafer, as requested, a control stamp for HAARLEM has been added and the card is in a talc case.
As you will notice, we have changed the date of issue from 28th December 1941, as given on your form to 29th, as the 28th was a Sunday.
Lack of time has made us decide to waive the usual procedure of inspecting the documents you are providing for the agent to use with this card, which we generally insist on; will you therefore make a special point of checking your documents with ours for possible discrepancies.

Note: When this card was returned to us after the finger-prints were applied, we found that it was somewhat speckled with the finger-print ink; we have therefore worn and dirtied the card rather drastically to make this less noticable
