MARCEL MELLIAND.
Marcel Melliand was a left-wing associate of Johannes Graudenz, with business connections in Switzerland, Schulze-Boysen enlisted his services through Graudenz as a courier to Switzerland, in order to inform the British authorities that a British cypher had been broken by the Germans. Melliand had difficulty in obtaining a travel permit and may not have succeeded in crossing the German-Swiss frontier.

He was accused during the German trials of 1942-1943 of passing O.K.L. secrets to the British in Switzerland, but was dismissed for lack of evidence.
