LAMBERTUS PORTEGIES-ZWART.
Lambertus Portegies-Zwart, Dutch Communist, born in Amsterdam on 13-06-1916, who left Holland for South-Africa and returned to Holland in the same year. Alleged to be engaged in economic espionage on behalf of the USSR.

Recruited early 1942 from the Dutch Communist Party by Dankaart as an agent for Goulooze's information service. Trained by August van Proosdij in WT work.

In the summer of 1942 he established a transmitter in Gnirre's house, Engeduisstraat 65, Amsterdam.

In July 1943 he went underground after the German round-up in Holland.
