GUURTJE de GRAAF
On May 9th 1945, Wim Biallosterski wrote a letter to his mother. At that time, her address was Amsteldijk 155a in Amsterdam. However, she does not appear on the residence card for this address. Was she living there illegally, and if so, why?
Before this, after the evacuation by the Germans of the Kruidbergerweg in Santpoort, she is said to have moved in with her sister in Haarlem, possibly together with her mother, Elisabeth de Graaf-Cornelissen. Her younger sister Reinout was married to Jan de Graaf, a bicycle repairman, and they lived at 2A Kleverparkweg.
Then and now.
