Joseph Lodewijk Theodurus van Alebeek, born March 23rd 1916 in Den Bosch, died May 13th 1990 in
Heumen. Worked for Bureau Inlichtingen as a WT-Operator/Agent, dropped in the night of October 8th
on October 9th 1943 together with agent Schreinemachers near Malden. Came down in the middle of an
exercise of the German Army. They couldn’t therefore salvage their equipment. He escaped to the
village of Escharen and tried to contact his fellow agent van Borssum-Buisman, but failed. He didn’t
succeed in obtaining a wireless set from another WT operator and therefore hooked up with a local
resistance group.
He was arrested on December 12th 1944 and released from prison in April 1945 by Haubrok himself. His
wirelessplan was called St. Martin, his B.I. alias was Bol. Used names like: van der Bosch and P. de
Leeuw. His official name while in the field was J.L. Bastiaanse.
His orders were to make contact between the resistance organization OD and  BI and SOE in Londen
through the wireless group Barbara.
Would he have been arrested in a house at the Nicolaas Maesstraat 41 in Amsterdam?

WT-Operator for the agents Bert de Goede and Loek Mulholland. Was dropped in the night of July 5th on
July 6th 1944 near Epe together with  Bert de Goede and Loek Mulholland. Was arrested due to radio
detection finding on December 19th 1944 in Rotterdam. Was released by Haubrok in april 1945 together
with Jos van Alebeek. Codename of the operation was Rodex-I, his SOE codename was Cribbage. Aliases
were Duveen, Theodore and Nol.
De name of his wirelessplan was Tees. His courier was Didi Gaazenbeek, both were arrested together on
the same address, in the house of the family Elsinga,  Mathenesserweg 118, Rotterdam.
Also mentioned is Van Bijsterveld, this is Cor van Bijsterveld, alias Cor-West, was a local WT-Operator
for the resistance. Finally he was arrested too on March 27th 1945 and was questioned by Otto Haubrok
with a drink and cigarettes. Haubrok had been looking for Cor van Bijsterveld for more than 18 months.
Otto Haubrok also mentions the addresses of Didi Gaazenbeek, Ketelstraat 12, Ede and Bert de Goede,
Parallelweg 10, Ede.
The farmer who is mentioned named Bakker was living in Overschie at De Ringdijk. He was the owner of
a field where droppings took place and in his farmhouse lay a hidden spare wireless set that belonged to
Arie van Duyn.
The Steffen family, Staatenweg 124, Rotterdam. Safehouse or transmitter location.
Adrie Moerman, Beuken.. te Rotterdam.
Backery Koos van der Sterre, Bergselaan 322, Rotterdam, a flowershop in Rotterdam.
Marijke Elsinga and her brother Folkert, Mathenesserweg 118, Rotterdam.
Mulholland alias Koos lived with a woman with children …
Didi was released by Haubrok in order to contact Bert de Goede, Haubrok wanted to talk to him before
the situation ran out of control between the Germans and the resistance forces. Didi was however
arrested by the resistance and questioned by Bert and D2 of the LKP in Rotterdam. She was sentenced
to death according to Haubrok, but this was a cover up. Didi Gaazenbeek went underground only to
surface again when the war was over. Through the Steffen family the parents of Didi and Bert had to be
notified.
At Folkert’s  the SD found a card system with hundreds of names of LKP men who were wanted by the
SD. This was destroyed. By whom, Haubrok himself?  Didi was locked up in a cell in the Scheveningen
prison together with Mrs. Eppie van Daal-Iddekinge. Her husband was  Aart van Daal, guard of agent
Tony Visser.

Arie van Duyn was indeed with the Navy and served on a submarine.

Married February 7th 1944 in Surrey North-Eastern a British woman called Buntie Aurelle Neredah
Macklin-Sprake who was a wireless trainer with SOE F-section. During his mission in Rotterdam he was
notified that he had become father of a babygirl called Marie. After the war three more children were
born; William, Hetta and Belinda van Duyn. Arie divorced Buntie on the 14th of September 1984. Buntie
died the 24th of May 2010.
Buntie van Duyn (née Macklin) aged 91, died peacefully in hospital May 24th 2010. Much loved mother of Maria, William, Hetta

May 1944 near Gorinchem together with agent Martien van de Waal. While being dropped his WT set
was damaged and became inoperable. Tony was arrested on the 21st of December. Bleekersvaartweg 5,
Heemstede this could be his homeaddress, his family lived in Heemstede. Tony had an ID card on the
name of Behrends from Heemstede. Couple Mr. van Daal .. Eppie nee Iddekinge from Garderen,
Gelderland. Aart van Daal Tony’s guard. Boskoop Amersfoort Garderen.

Bontekoe, Boskoop. Droppingcommander. Weaponstorage “Jan” en “Tine” in Boskoop, parcel. Tony lived

Tony was a friend of  Leen Pot en Martien van der Waal. He only met Martien v.d. Waal for the First
time on the airfield before being dropped. The mentioned Police Inspector is K.C.H. de Pous, alias De
Beul (the hangman),  living in Rotterdam, Boreelstraat 3.
In a basement in Rotterdam the SD found a heap of telegrams from “Kikkerdril”. This was agent Robbie
Mooiweer who was the leader of the resistance group Albrecht till the end of December 1944. Martien
van de Waal possessed a VHF wireless set according to Haubrok, he probably meant a S-Phone. Visser
had an amount of meat worth 1500 Guilders.

name Lancing. Aliases used: O.M. Wideman, Jaap Michael Webster, name in the field Jacob Jan
Rijneke. Captain Dulling was a MI-6 training officer.
PAD-9635 could have been a code sheet that was found by the SD. Was Wiedemann wounded while
being arrested, Otto Haubrok mentions a shot through the neck. Wiedemann was locked up in
Lutterinhausen for 9 months alone in a cell. He was freed by the Americans, took the car of the prison
director and drove to Amsterdam.
Mary Wiedemann was engaged with Vennie Schadd, his brother Tom was a member of the RVV and Jan
Thijssen often stayed at their house in Hilversum. Martin Wiedemann therefore also transmitted
messages from the RVV to London. After Martin’s arrest Mary warned Pierre d’Aulnis that he might no
longer be save at his present address and he then moved to the Rubensstraat where Mary also lived.
